L de Lolita Lempicka

L de Lolita Lempicka was launched in 2006 and the fragrance was created by perfumer Maurice Roucel. The bottle was designed by Sylvie de France. From the perfume ad and the aquamarine, pebble heart shaped bottle with the golden net, this perfume reminds me a lot of the deep blue ocean and mermaids. Even though I have an affinity for mermaids, I'm not too fond of aquatic scent, which is why I steer clear from this perfume for years, thinking it as another harsh clean scent.  The only reason why I got this is because of the bottle, it's been discontinued for years and I wanted to get this before it's gone. So imagine my surprise when I first tried it on. Instead of being bombarded with screechy and sharp aquatic scent, I was left with a delicious oriental vanilla scent that conjures images of Christmas baking. I immediately regret not getting a full bottle of this years before it's been discontinued, lol. Top Notes Bitter orange,   Bergamot

Some By Mi Yuja Niacin 30 Days Blemish Care Serum

I noticed my skin look a little sallow lately, probably becauses I've been out too long in the sun while tending my garden. I naturally have some freckles, but over the years it seems to have gotten much worse, especially now that I've reach the age where skin discoloration is inevitable. As I contemplate whether or not I am in need of a new brightening product, the good people at Some By Mi had sent over a new product, Yuja Niacin 30 Days Blemish Care Serum for me to try out, which coincidentally helps to reduce dark spots.

The main ingredient Yuja is a type of citrusy fruit which are produced largely in Goheung, Korea. Apparently it has a taste between lime, lemon, orange and grapefruit. Hmmm now I am super curious how it actually taste like🤔The high concentration of vitamin, a total of 82% Yuja extract will soften your skin and gives it a natural glow.

This product also contains 5% of Niacinamide, a powerhouse ingredient for brightening. Infused with Arbutin, glutathione and 12 types of vitamin components, it helps revitalize skin and replenish moisture to enhance the look of depleted skin. All these ingredients are quite popular for brightening skin, and are beneficial for those who have blemish prone skin and wishes to reduce their dark spots.

As for fragrance, it contains real Yuja Fragrance from fresh Yuja Peel Oil, and none of those synthetic fragrance. It has a citrusy scent that smells quite refreshing. Texture wise, it's almost watery and feels very light. It absorbs easily on skin and doesn't feel sticky at all. It leaves a fresh feeling on skin and I wake up the next day with no signs of oily slickness. I am quite wary with products that contains citrusy ingredients due to my sensitive skin, so I'd tried it out first on a small spot on my face, and it does not irritate my sensitive skin at all. So I apply it over my face and concentrate on those areas where I have a lot of pigmentations.

After 2 weeks, I've noticed my complexion no longer look dull and sallow. My cheeks has that rosy glow and I look much healthier than before. The small red bump on my upper brow is no longer visible though my freckles were too stubborn to go away, lol, it does however clears up the small bumps on my face. Blemish prone skin will benefit a lot from this as it's quite effective in lightening dark spots. Another great thing is it doesn't strip away your skin moisture and dry out your skin.

Overall, it's a good product to try especially if you have blemish prone skin and suffers from hyperpigmentation.
