L de Lolita Lempicka

L de Lolita Lempicka was launched in 2006 and the fragrance was created by perfumer Maurice Roucel. The bottle was designed by Sylvie de France. From the perfume ad and the aquamarine, pebble heart shaped bottle with the golden net, this perfume reminds me a lot of the deep blue ocean and mermaids. Even though I have an affinity for mermaids, I'm not too fond of aquatic scent, which is why I steer clear from this perfume for years, thinking it as another harsh clean scent.  The only reason why I got this is because of the bottle, it's been discontinued for years and I wanted to get this before it's gone. So imagine my surprise when I first tried it on. Instead of being bombarded with screechy and sharp aquatic scent, I was left with a delicious oriental vanilla scent that conjures images of Christmas baking. I immediately regret not getting a full bottle of this years before it's been discontinued, lol. Top Notes Bitter orange,   Bergamot

Steampunk Cosplay

Now this is something that I have wanted to do for a long long time. I've always been into Victorian style, and I've always love the aesthetic of 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery ever since I watched the movie The Time Traveller, which was adapted from the same titled book from H.G Wells.

Even though I love steampunk, I knew this was going to be a time consuming project and that's the reason why I never did try to pursue this project until last year where I accidently came across a steampunk book, I take it as a sign from the universe to finally do this, lol.

I have lost some weight last year and by the time I took this pic, I'd noticed my corset felt a little loose on me 😂 Nevertheless I'm happy with the costume though I'll probably do a little tweak on the skirt when I turned into a steampunk fairy next.

This was taken at night while everyone was sleeping, My brother complained a lot about the lighting since it's a little hard to take good pics at night when you don't have proper lighting 😅

I actually love dragonflies more than butterflies and moths. So that's going to be the kind of wings I'm going for my steampunk fairy. Seeing that I've never done this before, I'm going to take my time with this project, and get my brothers to help me, lol

Well then, if you're interested in getting this steampunk costume, you could find them easily on Shopee or Lazada, just search on steampunk corset and there's tons of them with different cuttings and designs. The white top underneath is a crop top that I bought long ago but never got the chance to wear it. If you could find a white lace victorian inspired top, it'll definitely look even better 😊
