L de Lolita Lempicka

L de Lolita Lempicka was launched in 2006 and the fragrance was created by perfumer Maurice Roucel. The bottle was designed by Sylvie de France. From the perfume ad and the aquamarine, pebble heart shaped bottle with the golden net, this perfume reminds me a lot of the deep blue ocean and mermaids. Even though I have an affinity for mermaids, I'm not too fond of aquatic scent, which is why I steer clear from this perfume for years, thinking it as another harsh clean scent.  The only reason why I got this is because of the bottle, it's been discontinued for years and I wanted to get this before it's gone. So imagine my surprise when I first tried it on. Instead of being bombarded with screechy and sharp aquatic scent, I was left with a delicious oriental vanilla scent that conjures images of Christmas baking. I immediately regret not getting a full bottle of this years before it's been discontinued, lol. Top Notes Bitter orange,   Bergamot

Heal Your Mind & You Can Heal You Life

I used to overthink about everything, constantly worrying about things that are out of my control. Worrying myself sick is not just a phrase, it literally does make me falls sick easily, with head pounding migraines that constantly plagued me. I did however managed to step out of this cycle,  and I believe 2020 is the year where mental health should be a top priority for everyone. Here are some of my favourite ways to heal my mind.

Music
Have you ever heard the song Let the music heal your soul? Apparently music really does help to heal you. A little bit of music therapy will lifts your mood, reduces anxiety, giving you a bit of much needed boost. Your favourite songs also triggers fond wistful memory of times, which acts as a source of comfort. So if you're feeling a little down, create a playlist, listen to your favourite songs and get lost in the music.

Gardening
Growing plants is one of the best way to heal your mind. It doesn't matter if you have an outdoor or indoor garden, or a small space in your home, gardening will helps elevate your mood as you watch your plants grow. It also gives you plenty of exercise, not too mention a good supply of healthy fruit and vegetables too! For me, I love planting sunflowers, they add a cheerful vibe to a somewhat gloomy life.

Tidying & de-cluttering
Do you own things that spark joy? Marie Kondo is the expert in tidying and de-cluttering. Getting rid of things that no longer sparks joy to you is the best way to de-clutter your home, and it helps to de-clutter your mind too. Though I'm not a minimalist, I do enjoy a good tidying, as it helps to calm my mind. I used to be quite a horder, picking up memorabilia, second hand clothes, small trinkets here and there, but a somewhat supernatural experience changed that, I should probably write about that next time 😂

Contest
If you'd read my blog, you'd probably know I joined a lot of contest. I first started joining contest in 2014 and since then, I've met friends online who share the same hobby, we're highly competitive but that only makes it even more fun as we pushed ourselves to be as creative as possible. If you're looking for a new hobby, well be a comper just like us, because it's a fun and rewarding hobby, and a great way to learn rejection as you'll definitely lose a lot of the times when you first started. However as you joined more and more, you'll figured out which types of contest suits you best.

Crafting
One of my favourite way to de-stress is doing crafts. I love crafting and I find it to be highly therapeutic. Other art forms such as sketching, painting, sculpting, journaling, calligraphy, knitting, sewing are great too, and could definitely bring you an extra source of income if you're good at them.

Stargazing
Probably one of the most theurepetic activity is watching the night sky. It's a magical experience that I believe everyone should experience once in a while. Whenever you're feeling down, look up to the stars and remember that we are just a speck of dust in the universe. If you find yourself unable to sleep at night, watch the sky and feel the peace and comfort.

Less screen time, more face time
Do you find yourself contantly staring into your phone, do you always felt the need to jump on that bandwagon because everyone else is voicing their opinion? Before you type away any scathing comment just because you have differing opinions, quietly ask yourself do you really need to add this unneccesary drama into your life. Be present in the moment, look around you, and appreciate the little things in life.
