L de Lolita Lempicka

L de Lolita Lempicka was launched in 2006 and the fragrance was created by perfumer Maurice Roucel. The bottle was designed by Sylvie de France. From the perfume ad and the aquamarine, pebble heart shaped bottle with the golden net, this perfume reminds me a lot of the deep blue ocean and mermaids. Even though I have an affinity for mermaids, I'm not too fond of aquatic scent, which is why I steer clear from this perfume for years, thinking it as another harsh clean scent.  The only reason why I got this is because of the bottle, it's been discontinued for years and I wanted to get this before it's gone. So imagine my surprise when I first tried it on. Instead of being bombarded with screechy and sharp aquatic scent, I was left with a delicious oriental vanilla scent that conjures images of Christmas baking. I immediately regret not getting a full bottle of this years before it's been discontinued, lol. Top Notes Bitter orange,   Bergamot

Kate Tokyo x Evangelion

Last year I won a whole bunch of limited edition makeup from Kate Tokyo which I then gladly gift away to family and friends, encouraging them to wear more makeup, even though I myself rarely wears makeup 😂

One of the limited edition item that I got was the Red Nude Rouge, a collaboration between Kate Tokyo and Rei Ayanami from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Here's the Kate Tokyo ad which shows Rei applying her lip colour.

For the limited edition Red Nude Rouge, there are 4 shades available which includes 01, 02, 04 and 07. The shade that I got was 07, a pink and beige two-colour palette of cream rouge that allows you to layer the lighter beige to the bright pink base.

This comes with a sponge applicator but I prefer using my lip brush or my fingers to apply this on. It's easy to apply as it has a smooth, buttery texture that glides easily on lips.

Colour wise, pink is not the colour that I usually go for in lipstick, as I prefer brown and darker types of shades. However if you love pinkish or reddish types of shades, and you're a fan of Neon Genesis Evangelion, well it wouldn't hurt to check out this limited edition from Kate Tokyo which are available at Cosme Japan
