L de Lolita Lempicka

L de Lolita Lempicka was launched in 2006 and the fragrance was created by perfumer Maurice Roucel. The bottle was designed by Sylvie de France. From the perfume ad and the aquamarine, pebble heart shaped bottle with the golden net, this perfume reminds me a lot of the deep blue ocean and mermaids. Even though I have an affinity for mermaids, I'm not too fond of aquatic scent, which is why I steer clear from this perfume for years, thinking it as another harsh clean scent.  The only reason why I got this is because of the bottle, it's been discontinued for years and I wanted to get this before it's gone. So imagine my surprise when I first tried it on. Instead of being bombarded with screechy and sharp aquatic scent, I was left with a delicious oriental vanilla scent that conjures images of Christmas baking. I immediately regret not getting a full bottle of this years before it's been discontinued, lol. Top Notes Bitter orange,   Bergamot

Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bouquet

Maybelline's latest lipstick collection "Rebel Bouquet" is a must have for pastel lovers. With a tagline "Now It's Time For Pastels To Rebel, expect a burst of feminine colours reminiscence of Spring Flowers Bouquet on this collection.

Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bouquet (RM30.90)


Naturally I need to get one since I'm a huge sucker for pastel lip colours. I decided on REB06, a nude pinkish colour that looks really sweet and feminine.


I have always worn pink, coral, nude lip colour as they're the only lip colours that look great on my small pouty lips. Any darker or paler than that and I'm going to end up looking really weird.


The texture of Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bouquet lipstick is quite creamy, the REB06 shade is quite sheer, which I love as I can always build up the colour. Do remember to  apply this on with a steady light hand as the lipstick can easily look unevern when it's applied too much, which I'd noticed the 1st time I tried this on.

I really love the colour of this lipstick. I was expecting a soft pinkish coral colour but was quite pleased to see how it turns out to look slightly pinkish nude on my lips. The colour looks more even and shinier after applying an extra layer of clear gloss of my lips, but it's not really necessary as the colour looks well on it's own, it's also quite moisturizing on my lips and doesn't feel drying at all.


The only downside is of course the non long lasting-ness of this lipstick. It doesn't last as long as matte lipstick. It's also not a kiss-proof, transfer-proof kind of lipstick. So do expect to see lipstick stain on your favourite coffee mugs. 

But still I love this. The Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bouquet lipstick  REB06 is a  gorgeous colour that gives me an instant pick me up feeling. It also reminds me of fluffy cotton candy, which in my opinion is always a good thing, lolz.
