L de Lolita Lempicka

L de Lolita Lempicka was launched in 2006 and the fragrance was created by perfumer Maurice Roucel. The bottle was designed by Sylvie de France. From the perfume ad and the aquamarine, pebble heart shaped bottle with the golden net, this perfume reminds me a lot of the deep blue ocean and mermaids. Even though I have an affinity for mermaids, I'm not too fond of aquatic scent, which is why I steer clear from this perfume for years, thinking it as another harsh clean scent.  The only reason why I got this is because of the bottle, it's been discontinued for years and I wanted to get this before it's gone. So imagine my surprise when I first tried it on. Instead of being bombarded with screechy and sharp aquatic scent, I was left with a delicious oriental vanilla scent that conjures images of Christmas baking. I immediately regret not getting a full bottle of this years before it's been discontinued, lol. Top Notes Bitter orange,   Bergamot

Elizabeth Arden Green Tea

  1. The perfume ad of Elizabeth Arden Green Tea which features Catherine Zeta Jones holding an oriental bamboo umbrella is one of my favourite perfume ads of all time. It's also the main reason why I decided to purchase it without first testing it out on my skin when I stumbled upon it years ago. Luckily I love it enough to wear it almost everyday, that was of course more than 10 years ago.
  2. Elizabeth Arden Green Tea is a perfume that I intended to buy as a gift for my best friend as she loves green tea, but I ended up getting her another perfume after an online shopping mishap. But somehow she ended up getting the same gift for me on my birthday. What a strange coincidence, lol. But thank you once again for getting me something that's a reminiscent of the past ðŸ˜‰

Green Tea by Elizabeth Arden was first released in 1999 and the nose behind this fragrance is Francis Kurkdjian. It is described as a citrus aromatic scent that will energize the body, excites the senses and revives the spirit.

    1. Top Notes
Bergamot, Caraway, Fruity Rhubarb, Lemon, Orange Zest
    2. Heart Notes
Green Tea, Cool Minty Peppermint, Sweet Jasmine, Spicy Carnation, Fresh Fennel, Crisp Celery Spice
    3. Base Notes
        Amber, Oakmoss, Musk

This is a mild perfume, an after shower feel kinda scent, it's perfect for a hot and humid days, where you don't feel like wearing anything that's overpowering. It's crisp, light and airy. However this doesn't last that long, it's a fleeting scent that starts off with a mixture of citrusy notes which reminds me a lot of iced lemonade, it then dries down to a hint of musk and jasmine. A subtle and soft sillage perfume that brings back old memories. If you're into classic, clean and fresh perfumes, this one's for you ðŸ’™
