L de Lolita Lempicka

L de Lolita Lempicka was launched in 2006 and the fragrance was created by perfumer Maurice Roucel. The bottle was designed by Sylvie de France. From the perfume ad and the aquamarine, pebble heart shaped bottle with the golden net, this perfume reminds me a lot of the deep blue ocean and mermaids. Even though I have an affinity for mermaids, I'm not too fond of aquatic scent, which is why I steer clear from this perfume for years, thinking it as another harsh clean scent.  The only reason why I got this is because of the bottle, it's been discontinued for years and I wanted to get this before it's gone. So imagine my surprise when I first tried it on. Instead of being bombarded with screechy and sharp aquatic scent, I was left with a delicious oriental vanilla scent that conjures images of Christmas baking. I immediately regret not getting a full bottle of this years before it's been discontinued, lol. Top Notes Bitter orange,   Bergamot

Lolita Lempicka L'Eau Jolie

When I was in my 20s, I used to wear a perfume called The Spirit Of Moonflower by The Body Shop. It has a lovely sweet floral scent, fresh and juicy, somehow it also reminds me of waterlilies, which is one of my favourite flowers. Too bad The Spirit Of Moonflower has been discontinued for years now and I never found that same magical scent from other perfumes until I found Lolita Lempicka L'Eau Jolie.

Top Notes
Pear, Blackcurrant

Middle Notes
Peach Blossom, Neroli

Base Notes
Musk, Cedar

Lolita Lempicka L'Eau Jolie was launched in the spring of 2013. This has a fresh burst of aquatic fruity floral at first spray. It has that crisp, watery floral opening of The Spirit Of Moonflower, though Lolita Lempicka L'Eau Jolie smells a little less sweeter. Unlike other Lolita Lempicka perfumes, this has a mild sillage and doesn't smell overpowering, though others might easily get a whiff of that feminine, floral scent in close range. It dries down to a soft, powdery, musky scent, a dusty edge that seems to be Lolita Lempicka's trademark scent.

Nowadays, I'm no longer into aquatic, floral scent. However I do enjoy this scent as it evokes fond memories of younger days, a reminiscent of my youth 😊
