L de Lolita Lempicka

L de Lolita Lempicka was launched in 2006 and the fragrance was created by perfumer Maurice Roucel. The bottle was designed by Sylvie de France. From the perfume ad and the aquamarine, pebble heart shaped bottle with the golden net, this perfume reminds me a lot of the deep blue ocean and mermaids. Even though I have an affinity for mermaids, I'm not too fond of aquatic scent, which is why I steer clear from this perfume for years, thinking it as another harsh clean scent.  The only reason why I got this is because of the bottle, it's been discontinued for years and I wanted to get this before it's gone. So imagine my surprise when I first tried it on. Instead of being bombarded with screechy and sharp aquatic scent, I was left with a delicious oriental vanilla scent that conjures images of Christmas baking. I immediately regret not getting a full bottle of this years before it's been discontinued, lol. Top Notes Bitter orange,   Bergamot

Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Toning Toner

Hydrating toner, exfoliating toner, whitening toner, I've love them all and have always been on the lookout for the special ones that will suit my skin best. The latest toner that I've recently tried is Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Toning Toner.

Skin1004 is a korean skincare brand and their products are formulated from Centella  Asiatica Extract from Madagascar. Prior to this, I've tried out a few products that contains Centella and I do noticed they works in soothing sensitive skin. 

Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Toning Toner is a daily toning toner for sensitive skin. It also contains PHA, which is a gentle exfoliating ingredient, much gentler than AHA and BHA, which is perfect for those with skin that are prone to irritation.


Available in 30ml, 210ml and 400ml, the toner has a minimalist tinted plastic bottle packaging. It has a small nozzle for easy pouring. 


This toner has a watery consistency with no obvious scent. It absorbs easily on skin without leaving any tacky feeling. 


The exfoliating effect is quite minimal on my skin, which is to be expected from PHA toner, which is the most gentle exfoliant of all. It does however keep my face feeling soft and smooth. The brightening effect however is quite minimal.


This also contains Hyaluronic Acid and Betaine, which helps to hydrate skin, giving them a soft and supple look.


Despite the minimal exfoliating and brightening effect, I quite enjoy using this twice a day, during day and night, as it feels quite refreshing and doesn't break out my skin. It also feels very soothing on the skin after a day out in the sun.
