L de Lolita Lempicka

L de Lolita Lempicka was launched in 2006 and the fragrance was created by perfumer Maurice Roucel. The bottle was designed by Sylvie de France. From the perfume ad and the aquamarine, pebble heart shaped bottle with the golden net, this perfume reminds me a lot of the deep blue ocean and mermaids. Even though I have an affinity for mermaids, I'm not too fond of aquatic scent, which is why I steer clear from this perfume for years, thinking it as another harsh clean scent.  The only reason why I got this is because of the bottle, it's been discontinued for years and I wanted to get this before it's gone. So imagine my surprise when I first tried it on. Instead of being bombarded with screechy and sharp aquatic scent, I was left with a delicious oriental vanilla scent that conjures images of Christmas baking. I immediately regret not getting a full bottle of this years before it's been discontinued, lol. Top Notes Bitter orange,   Bergamot

ARTOIS La Tulipe Body Lotion

It's been a while since my last perfumed body lotion. I used to love using scented lotions that complements my perfume and doesn't clash with it. I've recently tried out ARTOIS, a korean beauty brand that specializes in scented beauty products. This is a brand that I've recently learned about thanks to a giveaway by 0.8L Malaysia.

There are 5 different scents for ARTOIS Body Lotion. All scents comes in different colour packaging. Initially I wanted to pick Song which has a blue colour packaging, but once I've learnt all about their fragrance notes, I decided to pick La Tulipe which is described as freesia flower scent and the forest scent.

The scent is much more subtle than I thought. It has a fresh, spring-like scent which smells a lot like fragrant flowers. There's a lingering rosey scent once it dries down on skin. It also smells refreshingly cool, which matches the airy scent of morning forest air.

The texture is soft and creamy, it easily spreads on skin without any feeling of stickyness. My skin is on the drier side and this works perfectly to moisturize my skin without being too heavy. I really enjoyed using this as the scent doesn't smell too overwhelming. Perfect for an ever so subtle scent on my skin 💕

ARTOIS has kindly gifted samples for the 5 different perfumed body lotions which I really appreciate as I get to know all of the other scents. Personally I would recommend La Tulipe if you're into soft feminine, floral scent. Song if you're into fresh, clean soapy scent. Mom actually took noticed of Song as the scent does stays on skin, a very pleasant scent I might add.

Jar is for those who are into floral-woody scent which strangely reminds me of 90s scent, grungy yet feminine. Hmmm I like this too 😂Joe and Le Fieno smells quite masculine to me, which doesn't really suit my cup of tea. Joe smells strongly like spiced tea, with lots of woodsy notes. Le Fieno with the orange packaging smells very citrusy, just like the scent of an aftershave. Overall my favourites is Song, La Tulipe and Jar ☺️
