L de Lolita Lempicka

L de Lolita Lempicka was launched in 2006 and the fragrance was created by perfumer Maurice Roucel. The bottle was designed by Sylvie de France. From the perfume ad and the aquamarine, pebble heart shaped bottle with the golden net, this perfume reminds me a lot of the deep blue ocean and mermaids. Even though I have an affinity for mermaids, I'm not too fond of aquatic scent, which is why I steer clear from this perfume for years, thinking it as another harsh clean scent.  The only reason why I got this is because of the bottle, it's been discontinued for years and I wanted to get this before it's gone. So imagine my surprise when I first tried it on. Instead of being bombarded with screechy and sharp aquatic scent, I was left with a delicious oriental vanilla scent that conjures images of Christmas baking. I immediately regret not getting a full bottle of this years before it's been discontinued, lol. Top Notes Bitter orange,   Bergamot

L'ESSENTIAL Triple Cream & D5 Brightening Sun Screen

𝐋'𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦

Balances skin’s moisture-oil levels, strengthens skin’s protective barrier and smooths skin texture.

𝑲𝒆𝒚 𝑰𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔:

  • Guaiazulene - Soothes and hydrates skin
  • Dual Crystal Glacial Water Capsule -Hydrates skin
  • Lotus, Houttuynia Cordata Extract, Madecassoside - Helps to calm irritated skin

𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘 :

This product has an interesting looking texture, runny, gel-like texture with chunks of glacial water capsule. I've tried a sample of this before but never noticed how pretty the texture looks since my sample came in a small tube packaging.

It gives a refreshing, cooling effect on skin, which feels especially great on a hot day. It easily melts on skin though it doesn't sink as fast as I wanted it to be, however I don't really mind as it doesn't feel greasy on skin. There is however a sweet floral scent to it, which smells slightly artificial.

𝐋'𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐃𝟓 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐮𝐧 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧

Lightweight sunscreen which offers SPF 50+ PA++++ UV protection, soothes skin and provides a tone-up effect.

𝑲𝒆𝒚 𝑰𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔:

  • Pear, melon, rose and houttuynia cordata extracts
  • Zinc Oxide - Physical sunscreen

𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘 :

I mostly prefer chemical sunscreen but this product is quite good for a physical sunscreen. It has a creamy, lotion-like texture that's super easy to blend into skin. It doesn't leave any obvious white cast and the tone-up effect is quite minimal on my skin tone. It gives a matte finish on my skin without drying out my skin.

Perfect under makeup as well as I've experienced no sunscreen piling at all. The only downside is I'll need to finish this sunscreen within 2 months as the expiry date is getting quite near 🥲
