L de Lolita Lempicka

L de Lolita Lempicka was launched in 2006 and the fragrance was created by perfumer Maurice Roucel. The bottle was designed by Sylvie de France. From the perfume ad and the aquamarine, pebble heart shaped bottle with the golden net, this perfume reminds me a lot of the deep blue ocean and mermaids. Even though I have an affinity for mermaids, I'm not too fond of aquatic scent, which is why I steer clear from this perfume for years, thinking it as another harsh clean scent.  The only reason why I got this is because of the bottle, it's been discontinued for years and I wanted to get this before it's gone. So imagine my surprise when I first tried it on. Instead of being bombarded with screechy and sharp aquatic scent, I was left with a delicious oriental vanilla scent that conjures images of Christmas baking. I immediately regret not getting a full bottle of this years before it's been discontinued, lol. Top Notes Bitter orange,   Bergamot

Sora SkinLab Alotella Exfoliating & Purifying Gentle Cleanser

I've recently discovered a great exfoliating cleanser by a local Malaysian skincare brand, Sora SkinLab. Thanks to a giveaway by Chloe, a fellow skincare reviewer on instagram, I've got the chance to try out this hidden gem as I was picked as one of the giveaway winner. Yay! It's been over a month since I first tried out this cleanser and here are my thoughts on Sora SkinLab Alotella Exfoliating & Purifying Gentle Cleanser.

Specially formulated to deeply cleanse and remove dirt without drying or stripping the natural oils of the skin.

This is my favourite cleanser at the moment, it works really well in deep cleansing clogged pores without stripping off my skin natural oils. There's no noticeable sign of skin tightness after using it and it doesn't cause any skin irritation. I've been using this for over a month now and I've noticed less bumps on my skin, with my overall complexion appearing much more smoother. 

Despite how gentle it is on my skin, I still limit myself to use it only once per day as I don't want to run the risk of over-exfoliating on my skin. So far I've noticed my skin appears less oily too with less clogged pores. Overall this local brand is a must try and the price is quite affordable too!
