Luna Beauty x Tocobo Bio Watery Sun Cream & AHA BHA Lemon Toner

Tocobo AHA BHA Lemon toner has been on my wishlist ever since I saw the cute lemon cap on their toner bottle. It's absolutely adorable and I'm really trilled when I got the chance to review it along with Tocobo Bio Watery Sun Cream. Luna Beauty has kindly gifted these products in exchange for an honest review and here are my thought on them ☺️

A lightweight chemical sunscreen that has serum-like texture, with a formula combining water and oil bases that enhance the sun protection properties.

In between viscous and watery. Not too creamy and not too runny.

This smells a lot like grass which I strangely like 😂 It feels hydrating on my combination skin type and the texture feels a bit like an essence. I can even skip my moisturizer when using this though I wouldn't recommend doing that too frequently if you have dehydrated skin, lol.

The best thing about this sunscreen is it doesn't leave any white cast, which makes it perfect for re-application during the day. It's also easier to apply when you're in a rush. There's a refreshing feel after applying and it leaves a natural, glowy finish on my skin, which I don't mind as it doesn't feel greasy at all. Overall it's a great chemical sunscreen if you don't mind the weird grass scent

Helps brightens and exfoliates skin with lemon extract, BHA & AHA

• 38% lemon extract - High Vitamin C to brighten and soften skin
• AHA glycolic acid (50,400ppm) - Exfoliates dead skin cells
• BHA Salicylic acid (500ppm) - Cleanses pores, helps with skin cell turnover
• Panthenol - Moisturize & hydrates skin
• Allantoin - Sooth sensitive skin

This has a strong, lemony scent which smells a lot like men's cologne, which I'm not too fond of 😆 However I do like the cute 🍋 cap and the overall sleek packaging. 

Besides lemon extract, this toner also contains alcohol and essential oils. Normally my skin is quite resilient to these ingredients but the first time I used this, there was a slight stinging sensation on some drier part on my forehead, probably because I have some spots on those areas. 

It has a clear, viscous texture that feels almost like an essence. The brightening effect is quite noticeable with this toner and so far it feels quite hydrating on skin. No further skin irritation despite the stinging sensation on my first try. Overall I'm quite dissapointed with this toner as I really do love the packaging, I really wish they would come up with a milder scent if they ever think of reformulating it in the future 😆
