L de Lolita Lempicka

L de Lolita Lempicka was launched in 2006 and the fragrance was created by perfumer Maurice Roucel. The bottle was designed by Sylvie de France. From the perfume ad and the aquamarine, pebble heart shaped bottle with the golden net, this perfume reminds me a lot of the deep blue ocean and mermaids. Even though I have an affinity for mermaids, I'm not too fond of aquatic scent, which is why I steer clear from this perfume for years, thinking it as another harsh clean scent.  The only reason why I got this is because of the bottle, it's been discontinued for years and I wanted to get this before it's gone. So imagine my surprise when I first tried it on. Instead of being bombarded with screechy and sharp aquatic scent, I was left with a delicious oriental vanilla scent that conjures images of Christmas baking. I immediately regret not getting a full bottle of this years before it's been discontinued, lol. Top Notes Bitter orange,   Bergamot

Always Be Pure Forest Therapy Ultra Calming Toner

I've always wanted to try Always Be Pure Forest Therapy line and they've been on my wishlist for a while now. Previously I've tried out their Marine Therapy Serum and it's been one of my fave serum. I've emptied out a few bottles of it as it's one of the best in terms of brightening dark spots and for evening out dull skintone. Well I got my wish fullfilled as Always Be Pure offer to gift their forest therapy line toner in exchange for an honest review. So here's my review after two week of trying this out.

This is a daily toner that helps to remove leftover traces of dirt and impurities after cleansing. It's very lightweight and doesn't feel sticky at all. I love the scent of this, smells very refreshing and soothing. There's a slippery feel to it and somewhat soapy, probably due to the Hyaluronic acid. It gives adequate hydration for my combi skin though I usually follow up with another layer of hydrating toner.

I've been using a generous amount of this as I also used it as a toner mist, perfect for a quick spritz during the hot and humid afternoon. Overall this one's a great toner option for those with combi, oily skin as those with drier skin might find this toner doesn't give adequate hydration, hence layering is a must.
